About Me

Ignatius “Fisch” Fischer (Fisch is just easier to say than Ignatius). Born in San Francisco, raised in the Southern California desert, I joined the Army at 18, hung out in Germany for a few years wearing camouflage and carrying a .45 in a shoulder holster in the snow. Following an honorable discharge (yeah, I was as surprised as you), I stumbled into the film industry via the special fx arena, creating miniatures for movies like Titanic, The Fifth Element, HBO’s From The Earth to the Moon, and numerous TV commercials and shows.
Eventually I moved into writing screenplays for independent directors and wrote, directed and edited my own micro-budget feature in 2009. That led to an opportunity to create “cinematic book trailers,” which served as my own personal film school. Wrote, directed, shot and edited over 40 of those, each one produced for less than $2500 apiece.
Since then, I’ve directed and shot a handful of music videos, short films, a fantasy action-adventure web series, over 1000 small business, corporate and interview videos, directed two seasons (40 half-hour episodes) of Inland Edition, an Emmy award-winning PBS television interview show, directed live stream broadcasts, produced podcasts and served as cinematographer and camera operator for indy directors and producers (including four (and a half) independent feature films).
I produced the YouTube channel Tabletop Alchemy for over three years where I shared my tabletop gaming hobbies (you know, D&D, miniatures, dice, rulebooks, et cetera). I currently write, direct, shoot and edit for Black Bunny Media, a California-based media production company.
